Ever since my parents lost their jobs, they’ve been sitting around at home sleeping, watching TV, cooking, dating (!!!!!!!!) etc. Basically, they’re home A LOT of the time. That’s really weird for me you know… For around ten years my parents have never been home a lot, and when they were, they were too tired or stressed to just do normal parent-y stuff.
And now they just sit around, and they’re all smiles, taking drives and going out to visit people. They talk more, and my family has eaten dinner together more times in the past three weeks than we probably did for the first half of the year.
My dad is seriously a funny, yet wise guy. I see those parts of him much more often now.
My mother and I haven’t had a fight in weeks.
It’s all good.
