Uncoordination as a direct result of moodiness?

I haven’t been as unco lately, probably because PE isn’t mandatory anymore so the chance of me getting hit in the face by a ball is less than 70% now! But it was too early for me to think that maybe I had turned into a super coordinated athlete overnight, because last week, I fell down the stairs at school. It was in between classes too, so LOTS OF PEOPLE saw just how awesome I am at falling over. Then watched as I hopped all the way to my next class.

Today, I fell into not one, but two holes and rolled right ankle about three times by tripping over invisible sticks on the ground. Perhaps I’m a bit of a sadist, because *GASP* feeling that twinge in my ankle kind of makes me think “YES! I can still feel something!” and I don’t feel like I’m just floating through every like… A jellyfish in the ocean. (Worst example ever - excuse my inability to sound coherent tonight or the apparent lack of point in this post) I’ve been doing that ever since last year. Just kind of… getting by without kicking up much of a fuss, not trying to better myself. It doesn’t help that the movie adaptation of Hamlet BORES ME TO DEATH in English extention (Edit March 01, 08: Xuan pointed out that I am a loser who can’t spell extension, and instead of editing it away, I want to draw attention to the fact that I probably don’t even deserve to be in EE1 if I can’t spell that word), that absolute values will be the end of me in Maths extension or that my Chemistry teacher keeps saying “But you’re all smart kids who can figure this out easily” when I can’t figure “it” out.

I think I need a pick me up, reallllllllly badly.

So yesterday I bought myself a bar of toblerone to cheer me up. Then I laid around, reading Harlequin novels and eating the chocolate while listening to cheesy, happy Japanese pop music.

It worked. Thank god. Nothing like clichéd romance and cute Japanese singers to make everything better. I realise not all people react the same way to chocolate/music/books like I do, so tell me (for the next time I feel inconsequential and meaningless) how you cheer yourself up. Else I think too much chocolate will begin to have a negative effect.

P.S. Damn, just looking at Intensify makes me think “GOD, I SHOULD REALLY DO SOMETHING WITH THIS SITE”. Maybe later, when I start procrastinating from all my upcoming assessments?

If I’m feeling a little down then music/movies and most notably chocolate do wonders — a break from schoolwork is always most welcome though. I can’t remember the last time I relaxed! Sometimes I think you just need that little time out — to, erm, realign your balance? ;) Might not fall down so often, Tracey dearest!

I think you should procrastinate working on your site and redesign mine instead. It’s a win-win!

Usually I’ll watch something that’ll make me laugh and it’ll usually cheer me up for a short amount of time; basically I forget that I’m down, but then after the movie or show is over, i’ll remember again, blah. I just usually have to wait it out. but yeah, chocolate is always nice =)

  3. # Kycoo, 8 months, 3 weeks ago.

Ah, if only chocolate could fix all problems - and not include any negative side effects. :D

I usually read. Sometimes I go to sleep, but that doesn’t always work out, especially if I still have stuff to do, because then I’ll just continue sleeping until next morning. =/

What do I do to cheer myself up? I don’t really know. Hold out until my next life drawing class, I guess. We are all on the same level there. I don’t even have to think there.

    PS, WOOOO FOR NO PE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I’m feeling down, I like doing something that doesn’t require a lot of thinking - watching TV (since I don’t watch TV often, anyways) or reading usually work. I also eat whatever’s around; not just limited to chocolate.

Anyways, where did the holes come from?

Tracey… what the hell kind of EE1 student are you (I insist you do EE2 next year, too) if you can’t spell EXTENSION? /nitpickwhore

My pick-me-up? I dance and dance and dance, eat Tim Tams, dance and dance and dance, eat McDonalds, dance and dance and dance, and eat mango ice cream. Oh, and watch Bridget Jones’s Diary. A lot. Wouldn’t go so far as calling it a timeless feature film, but more something that just doesn’t grow old for me. What with mentions of genuinely tiny knickers and arses the size of Brazil.

Good luck with schooooool. :) The bright side to EE1, is you can bullshit most of it and still get a good mark. Just… in 1.5 years’ time, don’t follow my example and do your EE1 exam hungover… *cough*

Exactly how many assessments do you have coming up? (Beginning of Year 11 was a nightmare for me, too, and my friend Jess - she went to your school, actually - kept whinging about it also…)

See, I shouldn’t even be in extension English. FAIL.

  9. # Tracey, 8 months, 3 weeks ago.

Do you really want me to take you up on that? Cause seriously, I feel like making/coding another layout, I totally will for you, Amber :D

Amber, sometimes it seems to me like you never take time out from school work, you are just that diligent. I think we both need to stress less!

  10. # Tracey, 8 months, 3 weeks ago.

    Too much chocolate!!! *bloated*

Actually, watching funny tv shows and clips helps me out a lot too, thank Marilyn!

I’m not a big sleeper on school nights. I know you’re a big advocate of regular sleep, Kycoo, but I only get something like 4-6 hours a night, Monday to Friday. I bet my lack of sleep has something to do with it D=

  12. # Tracey, 8 months, 3 weeks ago.

I wish I could draw. But no. Can’t. *cries*

  13. # Tracey, 8 months, 3 weeks ago.

The holes MAGICALLY APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE with the sole purpose of TRIPPING ME UP.

Seriously, I swear they did. Otherwise, they’re just always been there, no one knows why they’re there *mysterious* :P

  14. # Tracey, 8 months, 3 weeks ago.

Ok, I’m feeling more literate now, here’s a longer reply dearest :P

EE2 FREAKS ME OUT. I can’t stand the thought of a major work. I’ll probably drop EE1 or ME1 next year and pick up French extension. At least I won’t feel like a loser in French, unlike the extensions I take now. I FEEL SO INFERIOR IN ALL OF MY CLASSES. I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DID YOUR EXAM HUNGOVER. I bet you got like, 46 or something. SO SMRT <— intentional (this time :P)

I am so unfit, that dancing would make me be all like “OMG *pant pant* SO UNFIT *cries* GAHHH *eats tim tams*” and thus the cycle would continue.

Um, I have an English (adv.) due on Monday (HAVEN’T STARTED!!), ummm, a Japanese speaking in W9, Maths and ME1 in W9 and some random French ones in W10? Oooh, what year did Jess graduate? Maybe I know her? MAYBE SHE KNOWS ME AS THIS WEIRD ASIAN CHICK??? *O*

  15. # Chans, 8 months, 3 weeks ago.

I hope you didn’t hurt yourself too much by falling down a few times. I have to admit though that I would probably have laughed if I saw someone fall down the stairs at school (unless the person was really injured)

  16. # Georgia, 8 months, 2 weeks ago.

Urgh how can you find Hamlet boring? God its a brilliant play and a good adaption of the play. As I said you don’t pay attention in english extension.
Absolute values are growing on me. And chemistry is god. I love the orbital theory. My life was a sad sad thing before I knew about P, S, D, and F orbitals. Wonderful. I am also growing to love the transition metals.

  17. # Georgia, 8 months, 2 weeks ago.

    I am such a nerd.

  18. # Xuan, 8 months, 2 weeks ago.

Drop ME1, because clearly EE1 is superior and awards you with a more refined style of writing, honing your grasp on syntax, diction and occasional loquacity. And what does ME1 get you? Calculus coming right out your ass.

I… well, close, dearest. I got 44. For both English Extensions. But I only did the one exam hung over, and I went off based on memory (which is what HSC is all about, so start memorising in Term 4 this year! It’s crucial to your wellbeing and you’d bloody better drop down to 12 units unless you want 200 hours of overload and actually like it X_X). But French is also good! Languages scale well. If I’d done French in-school in Year 11 instead of by Distance, I would’ve taken Extension too. Boohoo. :(

LOLZ. Um, she was my year - she graduated last year with me. (well… same year…) But yes, she’s Asian… I’m not sure how else to describe her, since I only know her online. :D

When I’m down I eat, listen to music and stare off into space to think. When I’m stressed I eat and draw. When I feel overwhelmed I get out of my room, talk to mum and/or my sister and eat. … Starting to see a trend here? =P Oh, and Tracey, you’re NOT ALONE. I stumble just as I walk down the stairs at school and sometimes when I’m at home, I trip over my own feet and walk into walls. *nods* Go me.
You know what’s sad? I love chemistry and I am drooling over the atomic stuff we’re learning in class. Not only that, I’ve been glaring at “Georgia’s” comment because she listed the sub-orbitals in the wrong order. It’s S, P, D and F (followed by G, H, I, etc).
