Michael’s website tips

Tonight, I said to myself out loud “I have the most boring website ever.”

Michael, who was sitting behind me playing his game boy replied, “Maybe you should add a games section.” I met this suggestion with hysterical laughter. “And you should add like funny things to read as well,” he continued. I kept laughing.

“I don’t think the people that visit my site are into that kind of thing,” I told him.

“Then what are they into? What are they like?”

“They’re smart.”

“Ok, so maybe you should add like… Politics and stuff.” He suggests. Somehow, I think that me talking about politics would be worse than me adding flash games generic reads. (Oh, the Australian Labor Party has a myspace now. That’s my political quota fulfilled for the year.)

He’s reading this out loud over my shoulder too. Get back to playing pokémon and stop reading this!

“Go pokémon!” He yells and then he starts singing the pokémon theme song. Someone help me.

My friends like my blog. Like, reading blogs!
    It’s AMAZING.

I personally would definitely read a “games” section of a website, I quite like gaming in general.

While I’m not too into politics myself, I love topics that cover more “controversial” opinions in regards to religion, philosophy etc etc, topics you that makes you think and have a discussion about.

The Pokemon theme song is insanely catchy. At least, the first one kinda was. I lost track of all the others… :D

OMG I know that feeling. The “this is the lamest website ever, and it’s mine, and if I CAN SAY THAT ABOUT MY OWN SITE… omgosh, what’s everyone else thinking?!”

And then you add a whole bunch of stuff, and then a bunch more, and then you go all Amanda on everyone and go back to JUST a blog!

Just make sure that whatever you add is something you actually care about. If you care about it, your heart will be behind it and it will still be interesting to read. For example (going back to Amanda), I just finished reading a semi-long post about housing in Melbourne Australia. Read it the whole way through. :)

I don’t think your site is boring at all. You sure have more stuff than I do!

^ OMG, I’m e-famous enough to be an example now! *squee*

I think the key is blogging regularly. You don’t do it nearly enough.

Come on, how can you have a fun website without a games section and funny e-mail forward-type reads? That’s a great suggestion! Or maybe you should add a Pokemon section. :P Haha.

Awesome Michael, I want to be the very best too. If I’m not already, that is. We should totally add a games section when she’s away or something, though then again you’d probably add Puzzle Pirates… *mumble* Whatever, I’m going to play the classicest flash game if there ever was one. Helicopter.

Ooh Chrasy, as if you don’t want to make everyone waste their lives away on a flash game. I think you know what I mean. Hehehe… Think of all the pointless hours wasted that will all be thanks to you! Do it do it do it. Dooooooooo it… Make an entire post about it. “CLICK HERE PLS LOLZ”. I have no life anymore.

I could add the falling sand game…

    Not.

Belinda, my brother was talking about pointless flash games when he said “add a games section” :P

Haha Meli, I won’t do an Amanda.

The kid’s on to something. You should have a kind of animated hangman game, in which the viewer guesses letters to figure out missing words from each blog. Until they win, the blog makes no sense. And if they lose, their screen blows up. You can’t say no to that.

i nearly died of laughter when i saw the alp myspace!

Hahaha Helen, you’re awesome to the power of infinitium.

LOL, flash games? Fun reads? Tracey, for the love of God, nooo!

I’d love to read about gaming reviews, but I do not enjoy having generic flash games in a personal website. That’s just me! And if you count you site as boring, just how do I categorize mine? Useless? Haha!

If they’re (your other readers) are smart, you could add a crossword? o_O (gah, I love these faces.) Ok, maybe you could just ignore that suggestion. And your site isn’t boring! It’s all pretty, colorful (gasp, American spelling!), simple, humourous (no firefox, it’s ‘humourous’ not ‘humorous’) and beautifully designed. Although you could add a picture now and again. All I see are words! O_o They’re taking over the world! *runs around screaming* Maybe someone added magic mushrooms to my dried fruit?!
