Assignments during holidays
They are an absolute no-go. I hate them. I spend all of my lovely, precious free time worrying about when to do my assignments and only end up doing them the night before school starts. I’m battling a 2000ish word history essay that’s supposed to have an “extensive, annotated bibliography” and about 500 words on some silly media proposal.
I think it could be worse. I could have English and Science essays too! I had a lot of things I wanted to do these holidays (like opening Umb-Rella!) but I never really got around to them. How disappointing that I’m still the same old bludger that complains about the same things every holidays.
So now, completely unrelated to school, tonight at work, a drunk guy in a taxi drove up to my window and asked me what time we closed. “10:30,” I told him. He gave me my first ever pick up line (sort of): “I’m gonna come back at 11:00 and pick you up!”
How sad that it came from a drunken customer who was so drunk he probably saw three of me.

It would have been funny if he said “and pick you guys up”. You know, for the seeing 3 of you thing.
Drunk people amuse me, but I in general still don’t like them. I feel sorry for you, haha.

That’s not a pick up line that’s just a statement of fact. :P A pick up line would be “Woah, you’ve stunned me with your beauty, I’m seeing three of you”. :P

I agree with Amanda. What he actually meant, was that he was going to abduct you and keep you in a cellar.
Also: when I read the entry I was thinking, “Wow, Tracey has a lot more work than me over the summer.” Then I was like, “Oh wait, it’s winter in Australia. =/”

I think I’ve had an assignment over summer like twice. Both times I procrastinated and waited til 2 days before school to start. Yay!

I hate having work when on break. Breaks are meant to be enjoyed, but I usually end up stressing through them and then, like you, finishing all of my work the night before. So break was then wasted by constantly worrying and rather than coming back refreshed, I’m tired from pulling an all-nighter. Sigh.

I am really bad at accepting to work while I am vacating. This is why we this year have rented a cabin far away from civilization - No cell phone, no internet… Nothing.

School sucks so much right now. I’ve got tons of work to do, but I don’t plan on doing them a week ahead. Cramming is the way to go! Haha! But I do worry about them, just like you do. Guess we’ll die earlier than necessary because of stress and anxiety. lol.

Ahem. Sorry. :S I like these faces. I had a mental blank and couldn’t figure out whether a pick up line was a line where you say you want to ‘pick up’ a girl or a line guys say in an attempt to talk to a girl without introducing them self first. I had to google it. o_O (how sad) so here I am, adding a random comment and reading cheesy pick up lines. An example for a math nerd’s pick up line i found was: “Do you want to be the denominator or the numerator?”.
