Shrinking shoes and other happenings
I went to a music exhibition on Monday and it was wonderful, with the exception of my shrinking (and occasionally expanding), blister-causing shoes. I attended three workshops: Songwriting (with Rob Hirst of Midnight Oil), Vocals with Shauna Jensen and Image and Photography with Matt Booy and Daniel Boud (who are making me think a little bit about a photofolio/photojournal). I learnt so much, I even took notes! I’m only sorry that I missed the beginning of Image and Photography because of lunch, and then missed the end of it to catch the 14:30 bus back to school.
On a very, very general work related note, training is going well. There were times when I would think about it and just say to myself “Oh, ugh, I don’t want to be there anymore,” but there really are some nice aspects of working. There truly are some lovely people around (I’m not saying that to avoid getting dooced!) and there’s a guy that looks EXACTLY like Tom Felton. I was so excited, everytime I passed him, I would think “OH LOOK! IT’S DRACO!!”
School is that same monotonous Monday to Friday routine. But today, there is a bright light! Really, in only four weeks, every single assignment due will have been handed in, every examination sat and every single report completed. Rejoice! Now, the only problem is to actually do these assignments/prepare in these four weeks. Don’t ask me why I’m blogging instead of doing so, you should already know the answer!

I wish I’d missed out on my guitar workshop (that involved no workshopping anyway) and had the photography one first instead. All “Guitar Shredding with ‘Snake’ ” involved was just some smelly guy with a mullet trying to tell everyone how good he was. Definitely doing photography again next year and getting a seperate lift.
But Chrasy… Tom freaking Felton… Not only is he ugly, but the fact that you’re relinquishing the world of Potter with THIS workplace of all places is… well, spag-dunkin crap-dong larkus? (really stupid) Bad Chrasy! Not that you can rip his face off or something. Well actually, I can think of many lovely little ways to ‘deface’ (GEDDIT??!!?) your little Draco friend. Pa-bammo. Blahahaha.
I’ve got such a crapload of loads of crap that I haven’t even begun… Know that book we have to read? I’m only up to chapter two. Shitey do shitus. And geography… Raaaargh! It’s all like “community this, socio-economic contributions that, blah blah blah this, gibberish that…” Euhk, it’s like a damn metaphorical turd factory at this school.

ooh Image and photography! I wish they’d do something like that here, but all I have here is a school to learn photography. Which is fun but too expensive for people without scholarschip to attend (I graduated a year ago and than it’s bye bye scholarschip, if you want to study you pay for it yourself)
Shrinking shoes? If they are leather try putting a wet newspaper in it for a night that kind of stretches them out.
