Notice of leave

The most intense feeling of relief came over me after the bell for fifth period rang. I am becoming more and more desperate to get out of school. Teachers are talking, talking, talking about correct structures for essay assignments, sitting through three-hour exams in sweltering heat, things that just AREN’T INTERESTING me anymore. At least not at the moment. School is terrible. Throw a grumpy maths teacher and humid weather into a building and it is like hell.

Thank goodness that holidays are over in a week. There are a few things that get me through school days: The thought of being surrounded by friends I love, and the fact that I keep repeating to myself “It’s almost over…. Almost over…” I’m practically counting down the lessons. 16 to go and then I am officially on holiday (No, I’m not going to school on Thursday and Friday).

I went to the Dresden Dolls in Sydney last week, and I had the most fantastic time. I’m talking spectacularly awesome. Ok, yes, EDIT: I am an idiot and I didn’t finish this paragraph before hitting publish. Ergh. May talk about it later.

Oh yes, I’m going on holidays for three weeks and a bit on October 2 (I think I come back on the 22nd or 23rd), so I will be missing in action. Unless I find a computer. Even then, I think I will stay away from it, unlike last time I went to Hong Kong, where I sat in front of the computer like a zombie and wasted half of my holiday. I will not be doing that this time.

This time, in Hong Kong, I hope that I will not have to resort to using English when talking to my relatives (cause they can’t really understand it anyway), I will not ask for knives and forks (although apparently I have a terrible chopstick holding position…) and I will not spend a lot of money. Errr… Maybe not.

Come on, school isn’t that bad…
I hate going on holidays, they make me grumpy. Its quite strange.
I don’t mind school, I get to see friends, I learn and its not like I’ve got anything better to be doing.
Stupid summer, sweltering heat makes you sweat, and our school shirts are not particularly accomodating to the sweat. The only good thing about summer is the beach and swimming. I long for next winter, when I can return to jeans and jumpers. Heheh Gary the Thundersnail excuses Harry Potter for being in Quidditch uniform. Heheh

To reiterate: I hate school at the moment Georgia, it’s bloody awful…

Its not that bad Tracey. I seem to have an elated feeling so I don’t mind it.

School is awful. Can’t wait for the holidays so I can just do nothing.

For the first time, I’ve been defeated by refusing to sleep. That broke me, I realised I’m not as good as I think. I’m looking forward to this two week rest.

When I read the title I was like O_O - ‘She’s leaving?! WTF?’
And then I read on and started breathing normally again.. Heh. ;)

Anyway, have fun in Hong Kong, darling! And don’t spend a lot of money. =P

School is really an awful invention!!! But we need to receive education; it’s necessary for our future life!!! You should understand this!!! The same happens to me when I sit at the lessons!!! An awful feeling!!! The only thing that calms is that holidays are nearer and nearer!!! I’m going to the Emirates and hope that I’ll have a good rest from the school!!! :) the other thing is that it’s very warm there and I’m satisfied with the fact that I’ll be staying there in the Dubai hotel or lying in the sun and thinking that at home other people are freezing!!!! hehehe:)

I hope you have a great holiday and actually get to see some Hong Kong instead of a computer screen! I think if I had to eat with chopsticks only, I would starve. I wouldn’t get anything into my mouth ;)

School might sound like a drag now but eventually you’re going to appreciate it. That probably won’t be until you have finished school or university but it will happen some day. Working life isn’t always a pleasure either, you don’t get 5 holidays a year and your days off are limited. Working life is absolutely not bad but school gets you more off days ;)

Hey, how come your updated Site Updates don’t show up on my RSS feedreader?

I know what you mean about school. I’m am SOOOO ready for this year to be over, and I’m homeschooled. I can’t imagine what it’s like having to sit through class after class with boring, annoying teachers every day. Good luck with that. And I hope you have a blast on holiday!

P.S. I’m SOOO more excited about Gilmore Girls than you! haha! :-P It was really good, by the way. Too bad they don’t play it in Australia. Have you seen Season Six yet? I think it’s on DVD now.

  13. # Linda Belle, 2 years, 1 month ago.

Oooh Dresden Dolls! I cannot wait to hear more about that concert.

  14. # Helen, 2 years, 1 month ago.

Hey, look, I’ve decided to comment too, hurrah. Hope you’re having fun over there Tracey… I’m hopeless with chopsticks, I tend to just stab things with the end when nobody’s looking. Works fine for me :c)

And yeah, no fun’s to be had in being a zombie, although… I’m intrigued as to how the keyboards over there must look. How exciting…

I had a similar feeling of school being terrible earlier this week, but now it seems to be better.

How was Hong Kong? I’d love to be able to go to another country and be able to speak their language. I doubt I’ll ever be able to do that though o__O

  17. # Boris, 2 years ago.

Oh, don’t be like that Miss Amber! You’ve plenty of options. I hear most people know how to speak English over in America. And I’m just guessing, but the English might know a little about the language as well ; )

  18. # Tracey, 2 years ago.

    She is English, Boris, hahaha!

  19. # Boris, 2 years ago.

Oh. Double oh topped with Triple sauce. Damn. Well in that case she’s already fulfilled her own wish, hasn’t she? No? Nayus? Damn… Quoth Chrasy “She is English”. What a damn twist! Just came out of n’where and hit me with the facts. Darnity darn.
