Chocolate and Changes
Happy Easter everybody! My family and I aren’t Christian, but we enjoy Easter, Good Friday most of all, since it’s one of the two times per year that my dad doesn’t have to work, and we all eat at home together. So I hope that you and your family are making the most of your time together.
My school holidays started on Thursday afternoon. (Actually, do holidays start the moment you’re out of school, or the next day?) But anyway, for the next 17 days I’m going to be lounging around the house, not doing much at all. It’s a lovely thought. ;) Actually, I will do some productive online stuff. I will! And you all have permission to kick me if I don’t.
It’s amazing me how much my brother is growing. He’s my little brother and he’s almost taller than me! He’s thirteen in November, and that shocks me. It wasn’t all that long ago that I was thirteen. Soon he’ll be fifteen, and I’ll be (shock!) seventeen and he’ll probably be two heads taller than me! My mother and aunts and various other family members are always going on about how much and how quickly children grow. Normally I just think “Hmmm… I don’t think I’ve grown that much,” but when I look at Michael all I think is “WTF? How did you grow so fast?”
I’m starting to see the allure of tags instead of categories, an I think tag clouds are cute. Don’t ask why, I have no idea. So I will switch, probably some time today. Thank goodness I don’t have all that many posts so I can change the categories easily.
The weather’s getting colder and it’s getting dark quickly now. Hooray! Bring on winter!!

I do love winter. It’s so nice and calming. And the thing is, you can pile on the winter clothes, flick on the gas heater and enjoy the warmth with a hot chocolate, but in summer it doesn’t matter how little you wear, you still boil to death. I really need one of those visor caps that have a little fan on them. :P

I hate watching my siblings grow. It’s so depressing :P (love these smilies, by the way)
I also hate watching other peoples’ siblings grow. Ag! Stop it! My friend’s sister just turned 16. SIXTEEN! I mean, it feels like *I* was just sixteen :annoyed:

Well, now I’m glad I don’t have younger siblings, ’cause I’ve been feeling so old since I went to college anyway, and to have to think how about my growing kid sister/brother would be too depressing.

I am the younger sibling. I wonder if my sister noticed how fast I grew. She’s four years older then me but I’m taller than her.

I’ve often wanted a younger sibling. I like to delude myself that if I did, I’d have turned out a more emotionally open person, but that’s just me trying to come up with excuses. Heh. I see my cousin once a year, and I get precisely what you mean. He’s around 4 years younger than me and it’s rather depressing that he’s almost as tall as me. (Then again, I’m short, but that is beside the point. He’s 12!)
I love winter, but I love autumn even more. The crisp mornings are to die for. And I also love that it’s almost pitch dark by 6PM now. *dances*
